Sarah Loyola is a San Jose based artist working in mixed media.  Her work, combining painting, collage, and cyanotype is a manifestation of the peace that can be found in the close examination and contemplation of the natural world.  Her work focuses on moments of observation and re-creation through the passage of time.  Celebrating process and texture, the additive and subtractive work of decomposing and recomposing, she invites the viewer to slow down and look closely. 

Sarah studied painting at UCLA and at the Accademia di Belle Arti Bologna, in Italy.  Her work has been shown throughout California, in Los Angeles, Sacramento, San Francisco and San Jose and can currently be viewed at Kaleid Gallery located in Downtown San Jose’s SOFA DISTRICT.  She is also an educator and brings creativity and arts integration to her work with both students and teachers.
